Here are the totals of some notable countries with the distinguished award on their national mantles. Of course, nothing striking sticks out on this list at all.
USA: 92
United Kingdom: 18
Germany: 15
France: 9
Switzerland: 5
Australia: 5
Canada: 2
China: 0
Let it be known that my eyes kind of hurt after all this sorting and looking up the stupid abbreviations for these stupid countries, so I may have made a mistake or two. I, for certain, will never be awarded a Nobel Prize for anything--especially not math. This list was compiled by cross-referencing the list of winners by name at http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/medicine/laureates/ with the year-by-year bios on each winner(s).
That's it. That's all.

It seems your sore-eyes legwork and keying skills have paid off.
It was said long ago when people were murmuring about the "greed" of the American medical way that a good retort (among many, methinks) is that the side effect of expensive American medicine is in the realm of theoretical research.
So it is.
And YET, we're told that the answer to waiting lines and 18 month foot-patting that most patients in "free health care" zones around the world is....to copy them.
Hooray for Nancy and Obama. Our saviors from high premiums (well..not really) and fudged CBO reports that assume some David Copperfield magic.
Dripping sarc, of course. And it's not about health either. But that's another message....
Well, the one thing I noticed that I didn't mention is that the advent of socialized medicine in foreign lands has not enhanced the ability to develop new medicines--it has actually hampered it. Looking specifically at Germany. There are many reasons why Germany SHOULD be at the top of this list and only one reason why it is not, they all came here to escape the oppression of national socialism. How dare we not take that to heart? It makes me more sad than mad...but believe me Wake, I fruitin' pissed.
